Book Review | Carole P. Roman | If You Were Me And Lived In ... Ancient Greece

If You Were Me and Lived in...Ancient Greece: Volume 1 (An Introduction to Civilizations Throughout Time)

I received this book for free from the author. This book was sent to me through Bostick Communications. Carole P. Roman entrusted a copy of this book to me in exchange for an honest review.

Author: Carole P. Roman
Title: If You Were Me And Lived In ... Ancient Greece
Genre: Fiction, Children's Literature, Historical

Synopsis: Join Carole P. Roman and travel through time to visit the most interesting civilizations throughout history in the first four books of her new series. Learn what kind of food you might eat in Ancient Greece, the clothes you wore in fifteenth century Renaissance Italy, what your name would be in Elizabethan England and what Colonial American children did for fun. If you were me and lived in ... does for history what her other award winning series did for culture. So get on board this time travel machine and discover the world through the eyes of a young person just like you.

Review: I would like to Carole P. Roman for sending me more of her amazing children's books. This is a brilliant children's book that contains lots of historical facts. Although this book is educational, it is not in an overwhelming and boring way so children will still enjoy it. The way this book is written and the illustrations make this book interesting for any child. Any book that makes learning interesting and fun is a must for any household with children. I know that if these books had been around when I was a child, I would have enjoyed reading these and others by Carole P. Roman.

Book Review | Carole P. Roman | If You Were Me And Lived In ... Egypt

If You Were Me and Lived in...Egypt

I received this book for free from the author. This book was sent to me through Bostick Communications. The author sent me this book in exchange for an honest review. I have previously reviewed two books by this author and they can be found on my blog.

Author: Carole P. Roman
Title: If You Were Me And Lived In ... Egypt
Genre: Children, Educational, Geographical, Fiction

Synopsis: Join Carole P. Roman when she visits the stunning and exciting land of Egypt in the newest book of her informative series. Learn why this ancient land is often called "the cradle of civilization". Travel down the Nile to discover Egypt's fascinating history. See the land through the eyes of a youngster like you and understand what life is like in this exotic place.

Review: I would like to thank the author for the chance to read another of her amazing children's educational books. This book is the latest in the culture around the world series. This is a good way for children to learn about Egypt as it is packed with facts and pronunciation but in a fun and effective way. Simply relaying facts to a child can make them bored and then they will not learn anything. Stories that make learning and facts fun is the best way to teach children as they will not feel like they are experiencing facts and will not get bored. This book will be staying among my collection so that when the time comes for me to have children I can read this book to and/or with them. I would like to teach my future children that learning can be fun and that the world is an interesting place to read about. I will make sure that I have all of Carole P. Roman's children books so that I can read to my child and they will develop a love of reading (hopefully). I would recommend this book to parents or anyone who likes to read to the children in their family's.

Book Review | Eric Jay Cash | A Sunny Day

Cave Kiddos: A Sunny Day

I received this book for free from the author. This book was sent to me through Bostick Communications. This author sent me this book in exchange for an honest review.

Author: Eric Jay Cash
Title: A Sunny Day
Genre: Children, Educational, Fiction

Synopsis: Cave Kiddo's is a fun book about four paleolithic children who share the experience of developing and learning important words and concepts.

Review: I would like to thank the author for entrusting a copy of this book to me for review. This is an effective way of teaching young children new words. This book teaches children how to spell and pronounce the word "water". I will be keeping this book in my collection for the time comes that I have children so that I can teach them about words and concepts in a fun and interesting way. This will appeal to kids are there is lots are illustrations and not a whole bunch of text. There is not to much going on in this book so children will find it easier to take information in. I would recommend this book to any parent that likes to read to their children but also to anyone with children in their family (brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins).
