Book Review | Robert Eggleton | Rarity From The Hollow

Rarity From the Hollow

I received this book free from the author. I was sent this book so I could read and review it. This book was sent to me through Bostick Communications.

Author: Robert Eggleton
Title: Rarity From The Hollow
Genre: Children's Story, Science Fiction, Adult, Fantasy, Fiction, Mental Health

Synopsis: Lacy Dawn is a little girl who lives in a magical forest where all the trees love her and she has a space alien friend who adores her and wants to make her queen of the universe. What's more, all the boys admire her for her beauty and brains. Mommy is very beautiful and Daddy is very smart, and daddy's boss loves them all. Except, Lacy Dawn, the eleven year old protagonist, perches precariously between the psychosis of childhood and the multiple neuroses of adolescence, buffeted by powerful gusts of budding sexuality and infused with a yearning to escape the grim and brutal life of a rural appalachian existence. In this world, daddy is a drunk with severe PTSD, and mommy is an insecure wraith. The boss is a dodgy lecher, not above leering at the flat chest of an eleven year old girl. Yes, all in one book. It is a children's story for adults with a happy ever after ending.

Review: This is an absolutely amazing book that I found myself completely lost in by the end of the first chapter. This is definitely worth taking the time at the end of a busy day (or each day; In the morning, afternoon or night) to read some of this book. I would recommend this book to avid readers (or to literally anyone because it truly is an excellent book) This is a book for the adults and it will surely take you back to childhood. I know that this book has a permanent place in my book collection and I will read it many more time for many more years.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
